IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH TO MAKE ME HAPPY. A flickering candle, smoldering incense. Delicious food. Good wine. Honorable, passionate people. Dazzling sunsets. Enchanting moonbeams. A sensuous life. Perfect espresso to make the perfect cappuccino. For readers to love my books.

Okay, maybe I need to rephrase that opening thought. New opening thought: I AIM HIGH.

IT'S REAL ♥ [ song obsession ]

When I become obsessed with a song, there is always, ALWAYS a reason.  And I can't stop listening to this song.  My musical tastes are unconventional... and diverse.  But I think everyone will be able to relate to this song, and the thoughts I have about it.

Because who of us hasn't doubted ourselves, at some point in time?  Who hasn't reviewed our goals or dreams, and then proceeded to talk down to ourselves, as to exactly why it will likely never happen?  And who hasn't been madly in love, and eventually questioned whether the object of our affection truly loves us in return?

Perhaps you wonder if *our relationship* is real.  The one between YOU AND I.  I've had actual conversations with individuals, some of them other authors, who have tried to tell me that the relationship between author and reader can be authentic, yes, but it's naturally from a distance, and that's the way it should be.  I've argued, passionately and vehemently, to the contrary.

Ours is a real connection.  We come to know each other through these blog posts and sometimes you come see me (at workshops or book signings).  Maybe we exchange comments on Facebook, or tweets. In all instances, we feel as though we know one another, because in a very real way... we do.  *Ours is a real connection.*

Our beating hearts are real.  And yes... YES, we can make every desire, every dream REAL.  Conceive...believe...achieve, receive.

Am I all over the place with this post?  Not really.  It's all connected...

Bottom line, fuck all the non believers.  The doubters and the nay sayers.  I know what I know.  And ~

IT'S REAL.

I walked on decomposing leaves
I skated on a frozen sea
It's real, as far as I can see...

Quite true kind Jo... it is the Unity comprised on art itself!... it is the most awesome empathy ever experienced... this occurs not only with the art of writing, but also on storytelling, music, photography, painting,..etc

I share with you these wonderful tips from Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Michael Roizen. In an article posted at RealAge.com, they say that research proves that "listening to music bestows mind-body benefits" :

1. Music improves your brain. It actually helps to boost memory and mental powers by firing up neurons in the brain!

2. Slow tunes lower blood pressure. Just 30 minutes per day breathing along to the beat of slow, soothing numbers can do the trick

3. Music keeps your ears young. Did you know that older musicians don't usually experience the typical aging in the part of the brain (the auditory cortex) that often leads to hearing problems? This means that it's never too late to take up an instrument (like the Celtic harp!)

4. Music relieves stress. I'm sure we've all experienced this effect when we've listened to our favorite music. But there's scientific proof of this: Listening to music lowered heart rates by as much as 5 beats per minute in critically ill hospital patients hooked up to breathing machines. This helped them to heal by relieving their anxiety.

5. A good beat keeps you moving. Pick songs with a good beat to motivate you to exercise harder and longer.

Peace and light... keep on shining as always!... Merry moon blessings ♥
