IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH TO MAKE ME HAPPY. A flickering candle, smoldering incense. Delicious food. Good wine. Honorable, passionate people. Dazzling sunsets. Enchanting moonbeams. A sensuous life. Perfect espresso to make the perfect cappuccino. For readers to love my books.

Okay, maybe I need to rephrase that opening thought. New opening thought: I AIM HIGH.

A lil something for you♥

I adore making my own bath products.  Soaps, body oils, and most recently, bath/shower salts and sugar scrubs.  It's really easy.  And, it's nice to make a lil something for you.  These products also make great gifts.  Thought I'd share my recipes.

Bath and Shower Salts
~ For relaxation, inner beauty and healing

Ingredients: 3 cups sea salt; handful dried lavender; handful baby roses.  7 drops chamomile essential oil; 7 drops lavender essential oil; 3 drops eucalyptus essential oil.

You'll want to use sea salt as opposed to table salt, if possible.  Sea salt contains beneficial sea minerals and these benefit us via cutaneous absorption, as we bathe.

Essential oils erode plastic, so you'll want to mix and store your salts in glass.  Keep covered until ready to use (essential oils evaporate very quickly) and keep away from sunlight (the oils go rancid in the sun).

If using in the bath, spoon into a muslin draw string bag, available at craft stores.  If showering, use as a body scrub; heavenly.

Sugar Scrub
~ For exfoliation, self blessing and clarity

Ingredients: 5 cups organic sugar; 2 1/2 cups coconut oil.  14 drops lemongrass essential oil; 7 drops orange or neroli essential oil (they're from the same family); 3 drops white camphor essential oil.

I have no words for how amazing the finished fragrance is.  Sugar scrubs exfoliate but they're gentle on the skin, making them appropriate for sensitive skin types.

Combine all ingredients in a large glass bowl, store in glass, away from sunlight.
